More information about the film and a short excerpt is provided below. After the applicants have officially registered they will be sent an HD copy of the film, without music, via email which they can then download.

About the Movie

Yellow is the New Black is a 2018 short film that is a spin-off of Despicable Me 3 produced by Illumination Entertainment and released by Universal Pictures. It is directed by Sergey Kushneryov and Fabien Polack. The story focuses on two Minions who get chained to another man who was in jail a the time. Cleaning up trash in the desert, the man finds his freedom when he and the minions make a prison break and struggle to unchain each other.

About the Production
Sergey Kushneryov is an animator and Fabien Polack is a surfacing supervisor at Illumination Entertainment. They participated in many of the most popular animated films produced by Illumination Entertainment. Kushneryov is known for his work on Shrek 2 (2004), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008), and The Secret Life of Pets (2016), and Polack is known for his work on Despicable Me (2010), Minions (2015), Sing (2016). This is both of their first times sitting in the director’s chair.
This short animation was created by Illumination Mac Guff and released in 2018. Illumination Mac Guff is located in the center of Paris and is dedicated to making animated feature films produced by Illumination Entertainment for Universal Pictures. Illumination (formerly known as Illumination Entertainment) is an American film and animation studio which was founded by Chris Meledandri in 2007 and is owned by Universal Pictures. The studio's highest-grossing films are Minions, which has grossed $1.159 billion worldwide, Despicable Me 3, $1.034 billion, and Despicable Me 2, $970.8 million. All three are among the 50 highest-grossing films of all time, and six of their films are among the 50 highest-grossing animated films.

Brian T. Delaney is an American actor and voice actor, who provides the voice of the male Sole Survivor in Fallout 4 and Master Mantis in the Kung Fu Panda games. He is known for his work on Total Recall (2012), and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013).
Carlos Jaime Alazraqui is an American actor, stand-up comedian, impressionist, producer, and screenwriter, He is known for The Fairly OddParents (2001), Planes (2013), and Happy Feet (2006).
