Following the guidelines laid out in the Terms&Rules, all applicants will score the clip of the Hovering Blade. Other films or clips besides the one assigned will not be considered. More information about the film and a short excerpt are provided below. After the applicants have officially registered they will be sent an HD copy of the film, without music, via email which they can download.

About the Film
Hovering Blade is a 2024 drama thriller that tells the story of a father whose unbearable grief from losing his daughter pushes him onto an irreversible path of revenge. Confronted with deep hatred and confusion, he is forced to make difficult decisions amidst a whirlwind of emotions. Each step towards vengeance brings immense pain and inner turmoil, as the light of justice gradually fades in the midst of conflict. As his pursuit of revenge stretches further, he begins to question the meaning of the ideals that once upheld his sense of justice and dignity. This is not only a trial of the soul but also a journey of seeking redemption from the depths of despair.
For this year’s competition, we have been authorized to use the film clip of the Hovering Blade. The story follows a grieving father who takes justice into his own hands after his daughter is brutally murdered. His quest for vengeance leads him down a dark path, confronting the thin line between justice and revenge. As he becomes both the hunter and the hunted, the film explores themes of morality, grief, and the consequences of violence.
